What is Messy Church?

Messy Church is…

a way of being church for families involving fun
a church, not a craft club, that helps people encounter Jesus as Lord and Saviour
found across the world
Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration
part of The Bible Reading Fellowship which believes, with the historic churches, in one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
What do you do at Denby Dale Messy Church?

Each Messy Church family member is welcomed as they come into the main hall. There they will find several tables with crafts and activities based upon a bible theme or story. After 1 hour of activities, everyone goes upstairs for a short act of worship, with story, songs and prayer. When everyone goes back down, the hall has been magically transformed into a dinning room with room for everyone to sit and enjoy a home cooked meal together, before going home at about 6pm.

As you come into church, each family will be encouraged to sign in, and will be invited to explore the variety of Christmas theme activities, at which you are welcome to do as much or as little as you enjoy.

As restrictions change, our plans will be updated, so keep an eye on any updates.
