Upper Dearne Valley Environmental Trust (UDVET)
UDVET (registered charity 1157514) was set up to help local residents enhance the communities of the Upper Dearne Valley eg, Clayton West, Scissett, Skelmanthorpe, etc -ie. the Denby Dale Ward.
Encouraging building for local people who need truly affordable homes and housing whilst discouraging commuter dormitory estates on our green fields and green belt. As well as planning, there are other improvements to support particularly in the field of climate change.
UDVET has as its aim: that it is for the public benefit, the conservation protection and, where possible, the enhancement of the natural and architectural beauty of the area known as the Upper Dearne Valley and in particular to conserve, for the benefit of those who live in, work in, or otherwise derive pleasure from this area, the open green spaces and flora and fauna, for this and future generations.
