Three national events will be celebrated at Kirkburton Library on Saturday morning, 10.30 – 12.30, April 23: St George’s Day, the patron saint of England, the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s Death in 1616 and World Book Day, a day selected specially by the UN to honour Shakespeare.
The Library has received a limited supply of free books to give out on the day.
There is also a competition for children to design their own Family Coat of Arms. The entries will be on display at the library along with a Pop Up Café and a raffle on April 23.
Everyone is welcome.
