The workshop is aimed at creating 2/3 books, using recycled envelopes and various types of papers. Creating either sketch books, recipes, journal or note book.
These books will be embellished with papers, using maps, music, Japanese newspapers, dress patterns, just to name a few.
You will be able to experiment with stencils, Indian wood blocks, stamps and paper punches, using crayon, pens and inks. However if you wanted to work on your own ideas or designs, that’s fine.
I have various examples of sketch books I’ve both made and worked on, which then have been used to produce textile work. So at the end of the day you would have examples, samples and ideas to work on at a later date.
